Scary night. NGPR
DH and I were on the phone tonight while we were both driving home. All of a sudden he started shouting, "Oh my God! Oh my God! Shit! Shit!" and then I heard a bump. He then told me he hit a deer. Let me tell you, that split second when I heard him shouting was absolutely the worst moment ever. Listening to your husband get into an accident is terrifying. The other day I was just thinking about how awful it would be to hear someone get in accident (because why wouldn't I think about awful things...my mind sometimes), and then it happens to us. Ugh. I was only a mile away, so I called 911 and headed over to the scene to wait for the police with him.
Luckily, DH is fine. The car can be fixed. Unfortunately, there is a dead deer on the state highway. I'm still shaking.

I really wish you hadn't called 911 for a non-emergency though. You said he was able to tell you he hit a deer so it doesn't seem like his life was in danger. Someone else with a real emergency may have needed the police services.

I was on the phone with my mom when my husband and I hit a couple deer. All of the sudden I screamed in her ear and she kept saying what happened are you okay what happened? All I could think was that must have been terrifying for her.

T-TTC since Dec 2008. PCOS/nonexistant cycles(anovulation) and endo. HSG in '10 revealed both tubes blocked. Lap surgery in Dec '10 to correct. Failed Clomid/IUI and injectable(Bravelle)/IUI cycles so far.
